The Grace of God Church Pampanga keeps it simple. It’s relaxed but focused. We don’t need to be flashy or put on big productions for people to meet God. We believe that Jesus is enough. Here’s what you can expect during a typical worship gathering:
Singing
During the Gathering, one of our members will lead us in a couple of theologically solid hymns of our faith (songs). As we sing our focus is not ourselves or the people around us, but telling Jesus how much we love Him. So no matter what kind of voice you have, sing out with all of your heart.
We believe in the regulative principle of worship which is a Christian doctrine, that God commands churches to conduct public services of worship using certain distinct elements affirmatively found in scripture, and conversely, that God prohibits any and all other practices in public worship.
Teaching
At The Grace of God Church Pampanga, we believe that the Bible is God’s gift to us to show us who He is and what He’s done for us. Every week, Pastor Jaypee Bengco or a guest teacher teaches straight from the Bible in a way that is helpful and challenging. If you don’t have a copy of the Bible with you, we have a copy at the church – feel free to use one of ours. If you don’t own a Bible, please take one of ours home as our gift to you.
Prayer
One of the greatest privileges we have as followers of Jesus is being able pray with boldness and confidence. We’ll pray together throughout our time and , if you would like to have someone pray for you, any of our members would be honored to pray with you after the worship gathering – you’ll find them, waiting to serve you.
Communion
Communion is something that Jesus began the night before he died as a way for his followers to remember and participate in his death on the cross. At The Grace of God Church Pampanga, we celebrate communion together every first Sunday of the month after the message. The Grace of God Church Pampanga fences (guards) the table which means The Lord’s Supper is only available for members. Each month, our members partake in a small bit of bread and grape juice as a way of participating in and identifying with the body and blood of Jesus.
Giving
If you are our guest, please do not feel obligated to give anything financially – please feel free to give as God leads you during our worship service just before the sermon.
What you’ll encounter when you attend The Grace of God Church Pampanga is a diverse biblical community where people seek to know and love God, live in community with others and transform the world by serving our community as we think Jesus would. Practically speaking, that means the some of us are just checking out Christianity for the first time, while others have been in church their whole lives. The Grace of God Church Pampanga members span different ethnicities, ages and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome.
Sermons are in Tagalog with the capability of English translation.
The Grace of God Church Pampanga is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and are a vital part of every local church. We do not offer any “children’s church” as we believe children are a part of the entire church family. Families are encouraged to worship together. We know that having kids in worship with us brings some extra “kid noise” with it – and we like it that way. We love having families with kids of all ages worshiping together with us!
We do have children’s Sunday School classes after the sermon.
The Grace of God Church Pampanga wants to be feel a warm welcoming place for those who are curious about God but have never felt comfortable in church. We want The Grace of God Church Pampanga to be a place where you can learn, apply and wrestle with who God is and what He wants for you. It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out yet.
Some of the member’s of The Grace of God Church Pampanga are ex-cult members but are now Christians that were radically transformed by the saving power of the Gospel who actively trust Jesus for their salvation, and were willing to turn away from their sin.
We are not legalistic, we are Biblical. Duties in a church are not Biblical requirements for salvation. A true Christian joyfully serves because they realize what Jesus Christ did on the cross!
At The Grace of God Church Pampanga, you’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like (with discernment). Some men wear jeans and shorts, some women wear pants and others wear dresses and some are covered in tattoos and we like it that way. There is no set dress code, although the attire is more on the casual side. Just be you.
Please do. We seek to be a welcoming environment for people who are curious about Christianity or who are seeking to belong to a community of believers.
